so this dish is kind of an ugly dish.

and ugly dish that tastes oh so good.

like oh so wonderfully breakfast good.

wild rice cran-apple breakfast bake

i will admit i am not one to usually eat fruit that is cooked. apple pie no. apple crisp nope not that either.

when a dear friend of mine made this for our morning bible study group…and i couldn’t be rude and not have any so i tried it even though it would typically would pass by…i share my truth of food people so you don’t pass this one by. i ate two helpings…and i wanted to go in for thirds but felt like total piggy.

so you know what i did. i came home and made it the next day for myself for breakfast…and ate as much as i wanted. haha

top this with some honey and vanilla yogurt.

sometimes the ugly recipes turn out to be the best. I have a killer chili recipe that is NOT cute. :) I’d gladly wake up to this any morning!

If it’s from a B&B, I know it’s gotta be good! What a great breakfast treat. I love apples and cranberries together.

This is not ugly–it is rustic! There is a difference. 😀 And it looks delicious to me!

I thought I was the only one who hated cooked fruit! I HATE apple pie! I don’t think your pictures are ugly at all. This dish looks really easy to make and I’m surprised if you hate cooked fruit that you like this… it intrigues me! I think I’m going to try out your quinoa recipe tonight :)

I’m not so much interested in gooey cooked fruit either, but that breakfast looks pretty tasty! I like that it’s also just 2 simple swaps away from being vegan.
