alert: superbowl party recipe :-)

i have been waiting so very patiently to share this recipe with you guys!

this is going to make your superbowl party oh so deliciousOOOOOO.

as simple and basic these sound…which they are…BUT they are beyond good.

the funny story i have to share about these is my hubby was away for a guys weekend and i made a pan of these for him to take.

he told the guys he had ham sandwiches…one of the guys was like i don’t want ham sandwiches – thinking it was a basic ham sandwich on regular sandwich bread…

then hubby goes my wife made them – other guy says Oh yeah then lets eat them. LOL and the guys LOVED them.

this is one of the recipes i almost don’t want to share…since it is a recipe i like to make and take places so i don’t want other people too as well. LOL

but alas i share since it is the right thing to do. HaHa

i want to also say i made these last year (prior to the start of my food blog) after Easter with leftover ham…even better. deli ham is fine but that extra goodness comes from that pulled off ham on the bone.

ham & cheese sliders

  • 24 white or wheat rolls
  • 1lb shaved ham
  • 24 thin slices swiss or american cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/2 cup miracle whip

  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon poppyseeds
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and miracle whip. Spread onto both sides of each roll. Place ham and a slice of cheese inside of each roll. Close rolls and place them into a large baking dish or heavy cookie sheet. Place very close together.
In a medium bowl melt the butter. Then whisk together all of the other sauce ingredients. Pour evenly over all of the sandwiches. Let sit 10 minutes or until butter sets slightly. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Uncover and cook for 2 additional minutes or until tops are slightly brown and crispy. Serve warm.
Awesome Note: Sandwiches can be assembled a day ahead and kept in the fridge ready to bake. Yeah!

I’ve never been a huge ham fan BUT one of the party recipes I love the most is ham + cheese sliders. Weird, right? Whenever I see them at parties, I can eat them like no tomorrow. And yours look SO good – wish I had one for a snack right noooooow!

These look great girl and the perfect Super Bowl food. Guys just love sliders of any sorts. They love their meat and bread :) I love how your husband’s friends heard that you made the sandwiches and instantly wanted to try them. That shows what a great cook you are.

I tried to find you on instagram but I couldn’t. What’s your tag name?
