i think he would eat this on about everything.

so that is why i share this you all.

blender hollandaise sauce

 INGREDIENTS

3 egg yolks

2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice

pinch cayenne pepper

salt to taste

1 stick butter (1/2 cup)

DIRECTIONS

1. Add the egg yolks, lemon juice, cayenne pepper and salt to blender. Blend till they are completely mixed together.

2. Melt butter. While butter is still hot drizzle butter into blender while blender is still running. Blend until mixture is thick & creamy.

Per Ina Garten, “You can leave it in the blender at room temperature for up to 1 hour. If it is made in advance, add 1 tablespoon hot tap water and blend for a few seconds before serving.”

recipe adapted from Ina Garten foodnetwork.com

now tomorrow i will share with you what we dipped in this sauce…stay tuned :-)

How sweet are you to make your husbands favorite foods, even when you don’t care for them! I’ve heard hollandaise is tricky to make, but your blender version looks easy. Love it!

I thought hollandaise sauce was tricky too..maybe the “real” way is but this blender method worked for me and hubby loved it so that was all that mattered :-)

Hi Angela! You’re such a good wife making and posting something that you don’t like, but your hubby does! I only like hollandaise sauce on eggs Benedict, which I of course, don’t know how to make :) I hope all is well with you and that you’re enjoying summer so far. We are having our typical June gloom weather. It’s foggy, misty and only reaches the low 60’s. I’ve been cooking up winter comfort foods so it doesn’t feel much like summer yet. It’s supposed to warm up later this week though. Have a great week girl! xoxo, Jackie
